US economy added 69,000 jobs in May, fewest in a year; unemployment rate rose to 8.2 percent

Dow takes its worst beating of the year today!  Hope!  Change!  My retirement fund is worth less today than it was when Obumbler took office!  Wow!

How’s that Hope and Change working out for you?  I’m always totally flabbergasted that there is anyone who thinks Obastard is doing a good job.  31% say the country is headed in th right direction?   WTF?  Do they even stop hitting the bong long enough to look around? Worse than that, who the hell is actually giving money to this guy?  Roger Simon asks, “WTF?”

[A]ccording to White House Dossier, our president is off to hold six fundraisers in one day. Who are these people that are still giving money to this charlatan? What is their motivation? Cultural suicide? Or are they simply Solyndra-style gangsters looking for a billion dollar handout? Or are they waiting to hear the president’s new plan to “save health care” in his second term?

I suppose it doesn’t help that the Lamestream Media is doing everything they can to protect Dear Leader by trying to hide the bleeding obvious from the witless.  And if hiding doesn’t work, they can always outright lie.  And remember boys and girls… street fighting as a campaign tactic is only bad when Republicans do it!

Not to mention assassination!

Alas, the “low information voters” (people too busy cashing welfare checks, getting “free” Oabama-bucks, filing for squatter’s rights on property they defaulted, etc.) are the people who may decide the election.  Those people, and of course, dead people and people who are able to vote more than once because they are not required to show ID to vote.

We could probably get some serious power from the energy created by the Founding Fathers spinning in their graves…

So Obastard thinks we are soft?   I like this rejoinder:

So President Obama thinks America has gotten “a little soft” and that we’ve lost our competitive edge.

As Jonah notes below, it’s apparently lost on the president that the logical consequences of many of his policies would reduce more Americans to dependence and indolence.

There is a soft America and a tough America; a dependent America and an independent America; an entitlement America and a productive America. Which policies are more likely to produce a soft, dependent, and entitlement society? Which ones are more likely to produce a tough, independent, and productive society? The president seems blissfully unaware.

The Obama brand of liberalism not only is likely to contribute to a “softer” America, but a soft-headed America as well. We condemn tea-partiers and veterans as racists and potential terrorists but we release actual terrorists from Guantanamo because the evident cruelties of that country-club facility are too terrible to bear. We demonize the hard-won, self-made success of risk-takers, but shovel millions of their hard-earned dollars to prop up the uncompetitive but politically correct enterprises of the well-connected. Government policies proliferate that punish effort, risk, and success but reward sloth, identity, and failure.

Soft America calls a 26-year-old a “child” under Obamacare, but court martials him if he’s a Navy SEAL who slaps a vicious terrorist in the course of capture. Soft America promotes the expansion of speech codes on college campuses so as not to give offense to anyone or anything but the First Amendment. Soft America spends $4 trillion to no effect and then asks for more. Soft America works diligently to turn the societal safety net into a hammock. Soft America bows to tyrants but lectures allies. Soft America waters down our history to give minor or even inconsequential figures as much play as giants. Soft America eschews absolutes, derides standards, ridicules heroes, and scoffs at virtue.

That pretty well captures it.  We get what government we elect and we elected a doozy in 2008. Now we are paying the price.  How’s that hope and change working out for you?

This has to be the perfect metaphor for OBungler’s entire approach to everything

Americans are catching on to the absurdity of the far Left’s “greening” of our economy. In some cases, like the Solyndra scandal, it amounts to the Taxpayer cash being flushed away on economically unsound alternative technologies that we *hope* will someday compete fairly with oil and natural gas. In the case of D.C. this weekend, we received a this picture from a PR event … where a pro-solar sign was literally powered by a gas generator.* How’s that for a metaphor?

I can’t even think of a witty addendum to this, it’s so perfect… The man is a fraud, a huckster, a liar and a hypocrite and those are the nice things I can think of…

President D*ick is really focused lilke a laser on his main priority as President, which is getting re elected.  Jobs?  No so much.

Obama generated twice as many campaign contributors as new jobs through second quarter of 2011

Just so you know where “the One’s” priorities are.  More at the Gateway Pundit’s place.

Ed Driscoll has a roll call of industries Obama has dissed.

So starting as a presidential candidate, Obama has:

  • Called for bankrupting the coal industry.
  • Raised gas prices by forcing domestic production to a crawl.
  • Demonized bankers and automatic teller machines.
  • Went to war against Fox News, talk radio, and Twitter user Kevin Eder.
  • Alienated Wall Street, which backed him in 2008 — and will probably do so again.
  • Nationalized the car industry.
  • Forced Chrysler to terminate 25 percent of its auto dealers.
  • Demonized Las Vegas.
  • Alinskyized the Chamber of Commerce.
  • Blocked Boeing from expanding into a Right to Work State.
  • Is busy transforming the insurance industry into the equivalent of quasi-government utilities.
  • Created an uncertain (to say the least) regulatory environment, making new hiring a challenging proposition.
  • And is now Alisnkyizing private planes, despite having temporary custody of the greatest “private” plane of all.

Can you say hypocritical d*ck?

This is a real WTF moment and I do not mean “Win the Future.”

U.S. Secretary of Homeland Security Janet Napolitano said Thursday that security on the southern U.S. border “is better now than it ever has been” and that violence from neighboring Mexico hasn’t spilled over in a serious way.

What the hell are they smoking in the White House Romper Room?  In addition to inane crap like this, we are increasingly seeing a stonewall thrown up around “Project Gunrunner”  While I am hesitant to suggest that this will be Obumbler’s Watergate, There are several things here that are striking.

First, the entire imperial Presidency meme that would have people rioting in the streets if Bush has tried it.  “DUDE” doesn’t seem to believe that he is accountable to anyone, least of all not to Congressional oversight of executive actions.

Second, his hypocrisy knows no bounds.  “The most transparent administration in history”  (borrowed, of course, from Her Majesty SanFranNan Pelosi, she of the “You have to pass it to find out what’s in it” fame) has the most polished lie factory I can remember.  Not even Billy Jeff (I did not have sexual relations with that woman) Clinton lied in such a bald-faced way.

Third, everything B. Hussein Obama does directly weakens the country.  Whether it’s financial (see refusal to address the deficit), reaction to disasters (see Deepwater Horizon),  weakening border security so a nuclear dirty bomb could simply be walked across the border into Arizona or Texas.  The more those states try to tighten up security the harder the administration pushes back.

Impeachment threat was the remedy for Watergate.  It should be the remedy for Obama.  Except he won’t resign.  He will just go into permanent campaign mode and hide on left-wing college campuses (redundancy alert!).

Our Whiner-in-Chief likes the trappings of the Office, but does not want to do the work, which is why all the real decisions are made by unelected and unrepentant socialists in various cabinet offices.   It’s time to fix the problem.

in a nut shell…

President Obama finally and quietly accepted his “transparency” award from the open government community this week — in a closed, undisclosed meeting at the White House on Monday.

The secret presentation happened almost two weeks after the White House inexplicably postponed the ceremony, which was expected to be open to the press pool.

Two observations.  First, the normally sycophantic Politico is dumping on the Light Bringer?  Whoa!

Secondly, when will people finally get it that Obumbler is a vapid, incompetent airbag who has never had to actually perform at any level anywhere and this has made him convinced that no one will hold him accountable.  This allows him to be a total hypocrite.
