Via Instapundit was this thought provoking gem:

Analyze this clause, spoken by the president: “…we harness the God-given talents of every individual….”

Tired Horse

The Liberal elite expect the proles to pull the whole load while they enjoy the “redistributed wealth”

Who, do you think he means as “we?”

You Democrats out there immediately want to react, thinking that “we” are all of us.  But, Democrat readers, all of us do not have the power to harness anyone or anything.  The masters holding the reins are the people who make, administer, and enforce the laws and regulations.  And they know it.

Who do you think wears this harness, the one our president imagines using?  Remember: this is his word.

That sums it up nicely.  49.1% of the population sucks at the Federal tit.   They want their goodies and will make damned sure that the rest of us have to pick up the slack.  They expect us to be Boxer, while they kick back in the farmhouse.  Limousine liberals act as if they have a right to hector us about our choices while mooching off the fruits of out labor.

Makes me sick.

Maybe it’s just me, but I’m having a hard time understanding this.Coach Pantusso from Cheers

Elizabeth Warren’s great-great-great grandmother was Cherokee so she is 1/32nd Indian (oops, excuse me – Native American).  She can call herself a Native American on her job application, her Harvard bio, etc, etc… and that’s all hunky dory.

George Zimmerman, who is 1/2 Hispanic and 1/8th black is just a “white Hispanic” racist, a catagory that has rarely been seen in print before the New York Slimes decided calling him Hispanic would screw the narrative.  (By the same logic the Slimes used here, Obummer would be a white Black.)

If Warren gets protection and special treatment for having a drop of Indian Native American blood, why doesn’t Zimmerman qualify as a Black or at least Latino?  Why is he called a RAAAAAAAAAAACIST?  Why did NBC go out of its way to edit the 911 tape to make Zimmerman sound like he said something he never did?

I feel like Coach Pantusso on Cheers.  It’s just hard to keep all this straight.

You mean if mixed blood helps the Prog narrative, it’s good, but if it messes up the Prog narrative, it’s bad?  Isn’t that, I don’t know, hypocritical or something?

Remember I said something about this last month when I wrote, “Or will he just ignore the results and the Constitution, like he has all through his reign, and just refuse to relinquish office?”   People told me I was being paranoid.  “Hopeychangey would never suggest that elections be invalidated because (fill in the blank…)”

Well, here is the opening salvo:

File this in the random-things-politicians-say file. Speaking to a Cary Rotary Club today, N.C. Gov. Bev Perdue suggested suspending Congressional elections for two years so that Congress can focus on economic recovery and not the next election.

“I think we ought to suspend, perhaps, elections for Congress for two years and just tell them we won’t hold it against them, whatever decisions they make, to just let them help this country recover. I really hope that someone can agree with me on that,” Perdue said. “You want people who don’t worry about the next election.”

The story asks if she is serious.  I would not be surprised if she was.  Remember, socialists are willing to do this sort of thing and a true-blue Alinskyite would have no trouble at all with it.  I believe Obastard is researching some way, any way, he can call off the election because it is getting increasingly unlikely he would be reelected.  Politicians always send up trial balloons and having someone like Perdue say what she did is part of sending up the trial balloon.

It’s not just Perdue, either.  As Confederate Yankee pointed out:

Only days ago, former Obama OMB director, Citigroup executive, and current Council on Foreign Relations fellow Peter Orszag published an article in The New Republic entitled “Too Much of a Good Thing: Why we need less democracy.”

Once is a gaffe (defnied as when a politican accidently tells the truth).  Twice is a campaign.

The Left nutroots will buy it.  Will the independents be lulled by the resulting firestorm? Oh, bet you don’t find the Lamestream media reporting this!

Jim Geraghty has a great idea:

Campaign Spot reader Bill notes that Obama’s campaign is aiming to raise $1 billion, while the Solyndra loans are likely to cost U.S. taxpayers $535 million.

So if Obama would just transfer 53 percent or so of his campaign war chest to the U.S. Treasury, we could call it even.

After all, isn’t it time that the super-rich – i.e., Obama donors like the top executives and investors in Solyndra –  who benefited from crony capitalism pay their “fair share”?

Fat chance that will ever happen.  I was thinking about the ex-Google fat cat, Doug Edwards, who was planted at the LinkedIn fundraiser for His Magnificence who said he wanted to pay higher taxes.

Hey, Edawrds: pay all you want.

The US Govt accepts contributions. Online at pay.gov or by mail: Bureau of Public Debt, Dept G, P.O Box 2188, Parkersburg, WV 26106-2188.

I’m not interested in advancing Obastard’s socialistic fanatsies.

This has to be the perfect metaphor for OBungler’s entire approach to everything

Americans are catching on to the absurdity of the far Left’s “greening” of our economy. In some cases, like the Solyndra scandal, it amounts to the Taxpayer cash being flushed away on economically unsound alternative technologies that we *hope* will someday compete fairly with oil and natural gas. In the case of D.C. this weekend, we received a this picture from a PR event … where a pro-solar sign was literally powered by a gas generator.* How’s that for a metaphor?

I can’t even think of a witty addendum to this, it’s so perfect… The man is a fraud, a huckster, a liar and a hypocrite and those are the nice things I can think of…

Obugger’s tax the rich plan will have loopholes to protect his buddies that live in reliably socialist enclaves.  I promise you that.  There was no way in hell he would allow his buddies, his life-support systems to be hit.  It just a matter of how he will do it in a away that makes it less obvious he is doing it.

Right on cue, here it the trial balloon:

Senators Charles Schumer said the $250,000 limit is unacceptable since it will hit the metropolitan area disproportionately because of the high cost of living here.

“$250,000 makes you really rich in Mississippi but it doesn’t make you rich at all in New York and there ought to be some kind of scale based on the cost of living on how much you pay,” Schumer said.

Give the man honesty points.  Progressive hate Red Staters and are proud to promote ways to screw us, just like Obastard did with Deep Water Horizon.   Tax the hell out of anyone living in the south, but don’t tax poor Libturbs who live in New York. Their money is needed to keep coming up with way to stick it to conservatives.

If you are still suffering from the delusion that the Federal Government is good, that Congress is wise, and bureaucrats serve us, here are some quick hits for ya:

In response, Ohio employees tasked with disbursing federal Medicaid dollars are shown coaching the men through the process of applying for benefits. “If it’s not something registered here, maybe I just wouldn’t mention it,” a Franklin County Medicaid officer named Traci Daniels tells the men, when asked whether they should mention owning a vehicle that retails for nearly $1 million, as they apply for government aid designed to help poor people. “Not that I can say that. You didn’t hear that from me. But, that would right there, that would throw him off. He would be immediately not qualified.”
A handful of Democratic lawmakers in Congress and a fish cop held a press conference Friday to announce a new gun control proposal, the “Stop Gun Trafficking and Strengthen Law Enforcement Act.” The proposed law has no chance of passing, and seems orchestrated as a Democratic response meant to draw attention away from the still-developing “Gunwalker” scandal.
The federal government using federal agencies to break federal laws so that same federal government can impose more federal laws on the people that did not break the law.

Why is the Federal Government focusing like a laser on this while the economy is collapsing?

I could go on, but I’m depressed enough.

Update: Apparently I am not alone… Jim Geraghty has a post titled:  Americans: We Don’t Have Much Faith in Anybody Right Now
