That’s the little-known truth about a government shutdown. The government doesn’t shut down.
The only parts of the Government that would actually shut down are those that hurt the common person.
- The IRS would keep open the revenue collection portion, but shut down the refund portion. As a bonus, they would close the tax-payer assistance center, but undoubtedly would keep the auditors working
- The National Parks would close, but Congressional hangers-on would still work…
As they say, read the whole thing. Personally, I think shutting down the Government is Kabuke. It means nothing, unless they also shut down the regulatory agencies that are chocking the life out of America.
