What’s Wrong with This Country

Can be summed up with one little factoid from Bloomberg:

Federal employees whose compensation averages more than $126,000 and the nation’s greatest concentration of lawyers helped Washington edge out San Jose as the wealthiest U.S. metropolitan area, government data show.

At least Silicon Valley produces something.  Washington never has and never will.  It is a giant vacuum sucking up resources and giving wealth to politically connected people for doing nothing but run their mouths.

When I was a small boy, Washington was still comparatively a back water. although FDR managed to turn it into an influence-peddler’s amusement park, it was still hardly an extremely affluent area.   It took Lyndon Johnson to really get the ball rolling and turn DC into ever more of a pestilent infested swamp than it was before it become the capital city.

Can we just close the place down?  (I would have said bomb it, but only libturds are allowed to use “violent imagery” in rhetoric.).

BOSTON (FOX 25 / MyFoxBoston.com) – The Coast Guard in Boston confirmed that a woman in uniform was harassed and spat upon near Occupy Boston protesters.

The woman was walking to the train and said protesters spit on her twice, called her foul names and even threw a water bottle at her.

Now, the Coast Guard is warning all staff working on Atlantic Avenue to avoid those protesters while in uniform.

I think I would rather that the Coast Guard give their personnel permission to beat the sh*t out of this overgrown children.   Of course, Obastard and the rest of the Demoncrats and other liberals  think OWS is just peachy.

As long as a Republican sat in the White House, those victories were enforced. In 1957, President Dwight D. Eisenhower sent the 101st Airborne to Little Rock, Ark., to walk black children to school in defiance of the segregationist, Democratic governor of Arkansas, Orval Faubus — Bill Clinton’s friend.

This is what our Constitution was designed for: to use the force of the federal government to uphold the law when the states couldn’t (Shays’ Rebellion) or wouldn’t (segregationist Democrats).

If Richard Nixon had won the 1960 election instead of John F. Kennedy — as some say he did — there never would have been a need for Rosa Parks, the Freedom Rides and the rest of the civil disobedience of the civil rights movement.

But as soon as the Democrats got control of the White House, enforcement of the Supreme Court’s civil rights rulings came to a crashing halt. Elected Democrats in the states were free to violate legitimate constitutional rulings without interference from Democratic presidents.

I point this out because the Demoncrats and the MSM (that’s redundant, by the way) have been sh*tting bricks at the idea that a black conservative might actually win the Republican nomination for President, setting up a situation where a black man is running to replace another black man in the White House.  The planned on argument of RAAAAAAAAAAAAAACISM will be much harder to use (not that they won’t try).   It would be useful for all conservatives to consistently point out that the Demoncrats wer the pro-slavery party (and still are if you think that welfare dependency is a form of slavery) that the Demoncrats were the party of Jim Crow, that KKK members were usually Demoncrats and Robert Byrd was a Klavern head at one time.

It is the Demoncrats that wish to do away with meritocracy, which, by the way is how Herman Cain succeeded in business, and replace it with quotas based entirely on the color of one’s skin.  Didn’t Martin Luther King rail against that?  Something about being judged by the content of our character not the color of our skin?  Never mind.  Nothing to see here.  Move on.  

The OWS bums are not interested in justice – they are interested in anarchy.  If they were really interested in Justice they would be marching on the White House not on Zuchini Park or whatever the place is.  If they want to know why they don’t have jobs, perhaps they should look in the mirror.  That $250,000 loan you got for seven years of liberal arts and humanities studies leading to a BA in Cross-Ethnic Gender Studies will not get you a job.  Neither will the 2 dozen piercings you have scattered about your face.  It’s not my fault you chose to be a lazy shiftless idiot studying worthless socialist bullsh*t on your Demoncrat sanctioned student loan.  I have judged your character and find it greatly wanting.  Give me a Herman Cain any day.

By the way, compare pictures of the ground where the OWS’ers have been and where a Tea Party rally has been.  Go ahead.  I dare you.

Can We Make It Permanent?

The Naval Academy Athletic Association has announced that Navy Basketball will run a special promotion during the months of November and December for both men’s and women’s games in Alumni Hall. All fans that show an article of clothing, program or ticket stub with a professional basketball team logo on it will get in to Navy Basketball games for the group rate of only $3 a person.

To receive the $3 ticket rate, fans can show an article of clothing, game program or old ticket stub with a professional basketball team logo on it at the Alumni Hall Box Office on game day. This promotion will run from the beginning of the Navy Basketball season until the return of professional basketball or December 31st, whichever comes first.

Go Navy!  Would that the National Brawlers Basketball Association would just permanently go away.

Where Are the Grown Ups?

A heretofore secret cable dated Sept. 3, 2009, was recently released by WikiLeaks. Sent to Secretary of State Clinton, it reported Japan’s Vice Foreign Minister Mitoji Yabunaka telling U.S. Ambassador John Roos that “the idea of President Obama visiting Hiroshima to apologize for the atomic bombing during World War II is a ‘nonstarter.’”

The Japanese feared the apology would be exploited by anti-nuclear groups and those opposed to the defensive alliance between Japan and the U.S.

Geez-O-Pete.  Obungler has done the impossible.  He has made Jimmy Carter look “reasonable.”  Just when I thought it would not be possible to descend any lower, too.  Thank God the Japanese have better sense than Obastard.

When Seconds Count…

This is not a police bashing article.  It’s simply recognizing reality.  Mike McDaniel has a fantastic article up on PJM. 

The Court found what many previous, lower courts have found: The police cannot be successfully sued for failing to protect any individual citizen.  They owe no duty to any individual, but only to the public at large, and that duty is generally limited to investigating crimes and apprehending criminals, not preventing every possibly crime.

Jessica Gonzales could not prevail against the police of Castle Rock, Colorado.  You cannot sue the police who failed in their jobs and who did not capture the vicious subhumans that beat and raped your wife.

Outrageous?  No.  It is, in fact, absolutely rational and necessary.  If any citizen could sue the police for failing to protect them from criminals, how could any city or county afford a police force?  Who would serve as a police officer knowing that they would be far more likely to be bankrupted by civil suits than injured by criminals? 

This excerpt fails to convey some essential points, so do read the whole thing.  The bottom line is that the Police are there not to protect individuals, though they love stopping crime before there is a victim.  Their job or the protecting the larger public order.  We have to take care of ourselves and we have to ensure that we have the means to do so.

One of the things that is really bothering me about the Occupy Wall Street thing and the escalating calls for violence from the agitators is that it can become a “reason” for an all out assault on the Second Amendment.   Disarming people is a stated goal of the left and Obama has promised gun-grabbers he will do things under the radar.  Gunwalker is an example, but since Fast and Furious blew up in their faces, the gun-grabbers cannot parlay this into the controls they wanted. 

However, if there are riots (which appears to be on the Soros agenda for his White House puppets) and the rabble start killing people, you can bet gun ban hype will be back in force.  It will also give Obastard an opportunity to declare martial law and even “call off the elections” (which has been suggested by his flacks).  This could be the left wing plan to hold on to power in the aftermath of electorial defeat in 2012. 

A coup would not work if the people resisted.

Removing the instruments of effective resistence is imparative if the left is to succeed.  The Second Amendment is the wall that must fall.
